When your husband drops your candle and smashes it but you can’t bear to part with it. I’m not sure lighting the broken candle ( plate or no plate) was a wise move but I appreciate that parting with it would have been difficult, so I’ll let you off @newhollyberry 🕯️ ‼️

I don’t recommend lighting smashed candles, but I also don’t recommend dropping them. I think Tom owes you a new candle 😉

The perils of peri menopause while running a business, being a mum and everything else in between. I’d like to say this has only ever happened once but this was the second time I left my wax tap on! Let’s hope that time was the last because it’s an expensive and messy mistake.

Smoked Honey & Orange is our most viral candle, ma

Smoked Honey & Orange is our most viral candle, mainly due to the fact that Alice Du Parcq has talked about it so much over the years. This meant it caught the attention of many more well respected people in the fragrance industry - too many to name! It recently won the Independents IndyBest candle of 2026 and last year it was named best pick of the season by the editor in chief of Marie Claire.

Orange is notoriously difficult to work with in perfume and candles and it took us nearly a year to get this one right, but the hard work paid off.

We are currently working with Pia Long and Nick Gilbert on a perfume that will hopefully launch next spring. You’re going to love it 🍊

We are still working on our rebrand but it’s taking so much time and it’s the hardest thing I’ve done with the business so far. Colours, fonts, packaging, sample delays and of course the huge cost of everything when you’re working with a relatively small budget. Ugh I hate the word budget! 💸

For now you can still buy everything in our original packaging but if you’re a fan of our orange fleck or Dalmatian jars then stock up as they might not be around for much longer.

Another reason NEVER to bin your jars. Always repurpose them - diffusers can be refilled and there are endless uses for candle vessels. Vases, makeup brushes, pens, mugs, tea lights, cotton pads/ buds. Have I missed any?
